How to Get Admitted into Higher Institution of my choice.
A lot of aspirants have been asking the question on what is the subject combination for my chosen course or what is the o'level, Direct entry requirements for certain courses. Be rest assured aboutstudycourse got you covered.
Firstly what is JAMB? JAMB simply means Joint Admission and Matriculation Board. This is the body charged with the responsibility of conducting admission issues into higher institutions. There are two modes of entry into higher institutions, they are Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination( U.T.M.E ) and Direct Entry (D.E)
Now I will explain how you can make it easy for yourself to get admitted into the institution of your choice and for your desired course.
UTME requirements
1.You need to have at least (5) five credit passes in subjects of relevance to your desired course and in not more than 2 sittings. e.g for Medicine and surgery English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
2.You need to know the right subject combinations for your course of study e.g for Medicine and surgery and most medical courses English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics. This aspect is quite sensitive because if you score very high in your UTME but your subject combination was wrong, you will not be considered for admission at all.
3.Follow ups on your chosen institutions are also needed so as not to make your efforts wasted. You are expected to join their social media platforms to keep your self updated on the post UTME screening news and many more important updates.
4. Another smart step that gives you edge is being connected. If at all you don't know anyone there, you can know someone who knows someone In the institution. I will advice you to choose places where you have connection to be on the safer side. However, you can still get admitted if you know not anyone but you need to get extraordinary scores in both the UTME & POST UTME.
Direct entry Requirements.
1.Five credit passes in 5 subjects of relevance, obtained in not more than 2 sittings.
2.At least 2 A'level passes and at least National Diploma or NCE lower credit. Note: most schools may not consider lower credit but upper credit and distinction for some courses.
Follow ups are also important for D.E aspirants and of course connection goes a long way.
The great factors that cannot be disputed are Study like you will never pray and pray like you have never read.
GOOD LUCK ON 2020 ADMISSION.
